Serving the imaging community for over 65 years, the Lawson production team can spend years engineering and refining equipment that directly increases the productivity and the success of a business.This week, Lawson hosted Abante Marketing of Omaha, Nebraska to our manufacturing headquarters in St. Louis.
Abante is a garment decorator and promotional products supplier, with a subdivision, Cricket School and Team, for the education and athletics market. With three locations, they offer printing, marketing, sourcing, importing, and design services. In business since 1998, they know what to look for in screen printing equipment. Three Abante representatives - Tom (a printer), Todd (Art Director) and Dave (Production Manager) - spent the day at Lawson as proud new owners of a Mini Trooper and the Focus CTS.
It is gratifying to hear how and why our customers make equipment selections. In the case of Abante, they needed to upgrade their screen making process but could not justify purchasing a computer-to-screen (CTS) unit, until they found the Focus-CTS.
Designed to enhance print quality for small and medium size shops, the Focus-CTS vastly improves efficiency, decrease costs, increases productivity and retains perfect registration from exposure to press. By incorporating the Focus-CTS into their screen printing shop, Abante eliminated film costs and dropped exposure time to an average of 5 -7 seconds, all while being able to digitally print 55 dpi/lpi directly onto their screen.
In addition to an upgraded screen exposure room, Abante also invested in Lawson's Mini Trooper Automatic. Its small footprint of only 8.5 feet in diameter allowed them to replace two manual screen printing presses with one automatic without having to increase floor space. Since the Mini-Trooper ships fully assembled, this Lawson automatic printing press dramatically increased production.
Lawson provides comprehensive training to all new customers, along with 24/7/365 service and print support. While the Lawson team speaks to prospective customers everyday and at trade shows, it is a treat to have guests in a one-on-one setting, whether it is in our St. Louis or Atlanta offices. Spending the day in collaboration, demonstrating, doing, watching and listening makes Lawson a better imaging partner and hopefully Abante a little more profitable as well.
